First Day- 5th March- The Flight and a great Welcoming

We met in front of our school at 5 am. We took two small buses and a car to the airport.

When we arrived we waited a long time before boarding the plane, and after long queues, a long time waiting, the long-awaited moment arrived: DEPARTURE!

We left at about 8.10am and arrived more or less 2 hours later! The flight was smooth and we were all very excited!

When we got off the plane, a gentleman put us on a minibus that would take us near the institute.

The Spaniards welcomed us very warmly and after quick greetings and photos everyone went to their correspondent's house.

After settling into our rooms, many of us went to the beach to play volleyball and football. It was great fun! I don't know what the others did when they got home, but I can say with almost certainty that after a delicious dinner we went to bed more tired than ever!

Second Day- 6th March - Start working

Today was our first day of school in Spain.

School starts half an hour later than in Italy.

Some older guys showed us the Institute, in particular the garden and vegetable garden, where the students grow vegetables and fruits but also other plants such as flowers and aloe vera.

After we went to a classroom where we watched a performance of flamenco, a typical Spanish dance and also students and teachers danced.

At 11:30 a.m. we had a snack and got to know other Spanish students better.

Finally, we formed mixed groups (2 Spanish and 2 Italian) and started a presentation abouts a Spanish woman and and Italian woman who have distinguished in certain areas.

Third Day-7th March - Thrilling adventures

Today, we had our first trip! We went to the Camino del Rey, an 8 km (4-hour) trail, and it was beautiful! We left at 7:15 a.m. from the school and to the Camino del Rey took about 2 hours by bus, so we arrived at 9:30. After a part of the way, at 10:30 we stopped for a snack and then left again. Almost at the end of the route we had to cross a suspension bridge. Once there we stopped to eat and get souvenirs. At about one o'clock we left again to go back to school, and at three o'clock we arrived. The trail was first made by the King of Spain in the 20th century to facilitate the movement of workers and materials between the two hydroelectric stations built on either side of El Chorro.
